American Association of Museums, Boston — Flick Software, Arius 3D, Global Exhibit Technology (GET) and the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT) are among a consortium of Canadian companies who today showcased their products as part of a New Spaces initiative for Museums which brings innovative applications and use of leading technology to create the museum experience of the future. "New Spaces is a collaborative initiative that brings together innovative technologies and applications that highlight the leading edge capabilities of local firms to museums around the world," said Pierre Seguin, Senior Business Advisor with MEDT. "We are delighted to be supporting these companies and their products at the American Association of Museums tradeshow in Boston later this month." The New Spaces initiative brings together eight companies that specialize in innovative applications that create dynamic and involving museum designs and exhibits. In addition to enhancing physical exhibit spaces, products such as Flick Software’s Mobile Interactive Guide enable museums to offer full multimedia personalized tours and content delivery while not being tied to a proprietary content format or hardware device.
